Peter is a Certified Financial Planner who spends his time working with affluent and high net worth individuals and families.
As part of the Cherry Bekaert Wealth Management team, Peter provides comprehensive wealth management services to his clients through the integration of investment and tax management. He uses an objective financial planning process to develop tax efficient investment strategies for his clients that coordinate their financial goals with their resources and risk tolerance.
Peter’s background includes over a decade of working with and understanding the unique needs of small business owners, government employees, retirees, divorcees, widows and widowers. He specializes in retirement planning and investment advisory services.
Before joining Cherry Bekaert, Peter was a financial planner for a large Registered Investment Advisory firm headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.
Since 2009, he has been a leader in the Financial Planning Association of Central VA, currently serving on the Board as Chairman. Peter is actively involved with Liberty University School of Law where he serves on an Advisory Board for the nation’s first Juris Doctor program focusing on wealth management. He is also on the Board of Directors for Commonwealth Community Trust, a national 501(c)(3) that administers a trust for people with special needs throughout the country. He is a regular speaker and continuing education instructor and has been interviewed and featured in national financial publications.
